Apple iPad – iPad Review
For the ordinary people who have an average interest in technologically advanced gadgets, the Apple iPad is perceived to be just an expensive instrument from Apple. Those who do not make it a point to research a newly launched product nor visit the manufacturer’s website with passion we mean ‘by average interest’.
If they choose to visit the Apple website, they probably have been influenced to buy the gadget as a result of media buzz and bullish marketing. Non-techies will not consider its pros and cons just yet, what they really want to know is, what exactly is an Apple iPad and what does it do?
The Apple iPad blog is designed to help you get the information you need to ensure that you can make the best decision to choose and find the best iPad, so you can make best out of it and enjoy it, too.
Apple iPad is neither a laptop nor a personal digital assistant, it is a mobile computer, and considered to be revolutionary because of its own kind. It is unique in its own right most especially because of its tablet frame without a keyboard, and is slightly larger than a netbook by an inch.
The multi-touch screen interface is the basic input method for this device, but it can also be docked onto a keyboard accessory for fuss-free typing. In addition to its multi-touch screen, the Apple iPad is also programmed to be multi-oriented, so the user can tilt the frame from portrait to landscape according to his wishes.
Apple iPad is designed primarily for data consumption in the form of web browsing, media and games, although it can be used to create documents and other content on a lighter level. In order to organize the iPad display app icons are used allowing users easily select frequently used apps in their “Favorites” section.

The iPad is powered by thousands of apps that allow this device to perform at high-speed rate, and similar to Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and slide-show presentations can be created through iWork. The default browser of the Apple iPad is Safari (which also happens to be created and designed by Apple engineers) with recently added an alternative Opera Mini Web browser.
Media consumption is one of the best offerings of the Apple iPad with the crisp screen resolution that lends justice to images, videos and e-books, and powered by the enhanced speaker system which provides a great output for music and audio.
Apple iPad internet connectivity is powered by the Wi-Fi and 3G, and it provides the highest speed in wireless Internet technology that overrides the speed of the hotspot offered in a specific location. In order to connect to a 3G network, the user must insert a 3G SIM card from a service provider, once the owner has completed the 3G network service application, he can switch from Wi-Fi to 3G connection anytime.
It sounds like a pretty interactive device, which is what all gadgets are about, though experts suggest that consumers should wait a bit longer for the iPad to mature into the industry so we may all see what it can offer that our regular PCs and media devices cannot.
Design-wise, there really isn’t much to comment on Apple iPad – there’s just the 9.7 inch, 1024×768 multi-touch LED backlit display that takes much of the iPad surface, and that is what most people love about Apple’s products.
As with all Apple’s products, you can’t doubt the fact that countless hours were spent over how the device would look when packed, and you will not be disappointed for Apple’s thoughtfulness – it is a beauty to behold, undoubtedly.
The box of the Apple iPad has a touch of MacBook Air in it, it’s so nice so you can hang it on a frame and display it in your living room, and if you love MacBook Air or other MacBook products, you will surely fall for the box of the iPad.
Apple iPad measures 9.56 inches in height, 7.47 inches in width and 0.5 inch in thickness, and its closest comparison (not identical, but nearly there) is Amazon’s Kindle DX. It weighs 1.5 pounds for the WiFi model, 1.6 for the WiFi plus 3G model.
For a device that does more than the Kindle DX does – if it alone is the point of comparison, the thickness of the Apple iPad is forgivable, acceptable in fact. Thanks to its thoughtful eBook reading applications and the diverse selection of eBooks available for use with iPad, many say Kindle will soon be replaced with Apple iPad.
Despite its revolutionary thickness, many people still seem to complain about the 0.5 inch thickness of Apple iPad, and even though it may feel awkward and may prove more difficult to handle in one hand for a few hours than Kindle DX, but considering how and what the device does, this is nothing more than nitpicking.
I sincerely hope you will find everything you ever wanted to know about Apple iPads, and discover fantastic deals and prices on iPads and accessories on my blog Apple iPad, so go ahead and start browsing to choose the model that you like.
